NT, 2000, or XP. A resolution of 1024 by 860 and a
color monitor are recommended. Lower resolutions
may prevent the program from displaying correctly.

STABL for Windows is the windows version of
the well known and widely tested STABL series
of slope stability programs. Its capabilities
include:

automatic generation of surfaces with
circular, block and random shapes
automatic critical-surface search with any
of these three shapes
multiple isotropic and anisotropic soils
multiple water tables
modeling of tiebacks, nails and
geosynthetics
seismic and boundary loads
Spencer, Bishop and Janbu methods
generation of a factor of safety histogram
to aid in locating the critical surface
generation of figures and plots for
inclusion in technical reports.

The user can visualize the geometry and
boundary conditions as soon as data is entered
and before the analysis is run.

Reinforcements, loads, and water levels can be
activated and deactivated easily to compare
solutions.

Just click on the soil that seems to be out of

place and STABL will tell you the

problematic segment number and its

coordinates
